Money isn't Money: Jada's Story
Jada knows what it feels like to be lost in a system. Now she makes sure every new hire feels seen—helping airport employees succeed at work and manage the everyday challenges that could stand in their way.
As an Employee Life Cycle Coordinator at a busy airport, Jada helps candidates prepare for a demanding series of tests before they can begin working. For years, new hires were handed a thick study guide and expected to prepare alone. Many did not pass, and many who did left after their first day. Seeing herself in them, Jada rebuilt the experience around personal support. She created practice activities, learned people’s names and stories, and showed them where they would work. Soon, entire classes were passing, terminations declined and employees began advancing into lead and supervisor roles.
Jada also saw how everyday expenses could affect an employee’s ability to show up. Call-offs often came down to not having enough for gas, childcare or another bill before payday. Through Payactiv, employees could access wages they had already earned to help cover those needs. For Jada, the connection is simple: when people feel seen and have access to the support they need, they have a better opportunity to succeed.
